Billie Harding, 81, of Vincent died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011, in a Big Spring nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, 2011, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Walter McCall, pastor of Vincent Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011, at the funeral home.

She was born Dec. 18, 1929, in Vincent, Texas. Billie received her master in education degree from Texas Tech University. She taught English for 35 years, retiring from Snyder High School in 1995. After retiring, Billie wrote a book on the history of Vincent, Texas. She enjoyed sewing, reading and gardening. She loved country life.
She was a member of Vincent Baptist Church.

Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law, Joe Pat and Rhonda Harding of Vincent; one sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Freddy Brown of Big Spring; two nephews, Brian Brown of Dallas and Clay Harding of Vincent; and one niece, Sarah Harding of San Angelo.

She was preceded in death by her father, Pat Harding in 1962; her mother, Vergie Harding in 1992; and a nephew, John Harding in 2004.
The family suggests memorials be made to a favorite charity.
