Care for a bit of Birdie?

The Big Spring High School drama and choir departments will team up this weekend to present “An Evening of Bye Bye Birdie” in the high school auditorium.

Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday.

Admission is free but donations will be accepted.

The students will perform excerpts from the popular Broadway musical, in which a famous rock star (think Elvis Presley circa 1958) travels to a small town in Ohio to make his farewell TV performance before being drafted into the Army.
