Bobby Joe Capps, 69, of Coahoma died Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at his residence. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Coahoma Church of Christ with Eddy Pitchford officiating.

He was born June 10, 1944, to Faye and Babe Capps in Groesbeck, Texas. He married Frances Allen on Aug. 30, 1962, in Sand Springs. He was a resident of Howard County for more than 50 years. He was a pumper for Walsh and Watts for 35 years, retiring in 2006. He was a member of Coahoma Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Capps of Coahoma; two daughters, Jackie Cook and husband Bill and Mary Kemp and husband Adam, all of Coahoma; one son, Bobby Ray Capps of Big Spring; one sister, Kay Moser and husband Daniel of Pottsboro; two grandchildren, Cory Cook and wife Melisa of Burleson and Brittany Roberts of Coahoma; four great-grandchildren, Halle Roberts and Riley Roberts of Coahoma and Collin Cook and Lillian Cook of Burleson; one aunt, Ruby Garrett of Waco; and several cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Nell Reiger.
