Brown named top student at HC

Considered a “go to girl” by her peers, Lacey Brown has been named recipient of Howard College’s 2013-2014 Presidential Award.

Brown, a wife and resident of Abilene, was one of dozens of students honored Tuesday night during the college’s annual awards ceremony at Dorothy Garrett Coliseum.The Presidential Award for Outstanding Student of the Year is the most prestigious award given to a student at Howard College. Selection is based on academic excellence, participation in student life, leadership qualities and overall college spirit.
