BSHS, Forsan bands excel at marching contest

October 28, 2011

Some ruts are nice to be in.

As they have for the past several years, the Big Spring High School and Forsan High School marching bands turned in exemplary performances at recent University Interscholastic League regional competition, with each band earning a Division I rating, the highest possible.

Forsan's performance earned it another spot in the Class 2A area contest, which will be held Saturday in Lubbock. The top three bands there advance to the UIL state marching contest, set for November in San Antonio.

There will be no state Class 3A contest this year, which means BSHS' competitive marching season is completed.
