BSISD officials warn of possible scam

Officials with Big Spring Independent School District have issued a warning concerning impostors soliciting advertisement for the supposed purpose of raising funds for the school district.

“It’s come to our attention that there are organizations contacting area businesses to solicit advertisements on Big Spring Steer themed T-shirts, posters, plastic footballs and similar items,” said Chris Wigington, BSISD superintendent, in a written statement. “These organizations are portraying that their fundraising activities are endorsed by the school district.”
