Buffs defeat Morton, advance to Regional Tournament

It took the Forsan Buffaloes a little time to get their motor running, but once they did, they played like a team heading to the Region I-2A basketball tournament. Which is just where they are headed by virtue of their 60-42 win over the Morton Indians Tuesday night.
Forsan will play Friday night at the Texan Dome in Levelland.
The 29-4 Buffaloes punched their ticket to the regional semifinals by simply blasting the Indians in the second half. Forsan capped off this impressive win by hanging 30 points on the Indians in the fourth quarter.
The game was actually closer than the score indicates. Morton led 22-18 at the half, but Forsan edged ahead 30-29 going into the final quarter. The fourth quarter belonged to the Buffs however, as usual the Forsan trio of Garrett Evans, Bryce Hergert and Kobe Richardson were in the mix of things, but two unsung heroes emerged Tuesday night in the likes of Nathan Vidal and Jaeden Ceasar.
