Buffs remain undefeated in district

Staff Writer

It was a defensive battle until the very end between the Forsan Buffs and Rotan Yellowhammers in their matchup on Saturday, but it was Forsan who came out on top as they brought home the 3-1 district win.
“We didn’t have a big offensive game today, but I am very proud of the way the defense and the pitchers were able to get us the win,” said head baseball coach Stephen East.
Forsan remains undefeated in district play with a record of 8-0.
The last two district games will take place in Forsan on Tuesday, April 25 with a double header vs. the Ira Bulldogs. The first game is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. with the second game to immediately follow.
According to East, the Buffs only need to win one of their two games against Ira to clinch the district championship title.
If they win both, it will be their third undefeated district championship in a row, and 36 consecutive district wins going back four years.
