Buffs vs. Buffs: Stanton hosts Forsan

October 29, 2010

No one for Stanton is paying attention to Forsan's 61-0 loss to Idalou and 56-0 loss to Coahoma the past two weeks.

Stanton head coach John Peterson knows when the Forsan Buffaloes get a shot at his Buffaloes, the same team that took those two losses won't be on the field. Forsan will be better than its record shows, he said.

“It's a rivalry game,” Peterson said. “We were both in Class A together the last couple of years. I know the Forsan are going to get up to play for us.

“Our kids are getting up to play for them. We've had a great week of practice. They're physical. They're not going to bow down to anything.”
This game between Forsan and Stanton at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Stanton features a lot of different storylines. First, there's the struggling Forsan Buffs, who have allowed 117 points in the last two weeks on the way to a 1-3 District 2-2A Division II record.
