Carl Bacon

Carl Bacon, 77, of Coahoma, died Sunday, April 20, 2014, in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2014, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel, with Rick Cunningham officiating.

Carl was born March 26, 1937, in Mitchell County, Texas and married Annita Thompson June 29, 1991, in Coahoma. He worked for Weaver Services in Snyder for more than 20 years and loved cabinetry. He was a Christian.

Survivors include his wife, Annita Bacon, of Coahoma; one son, Glen Bacon and wife, Kambra, of Prosper; four daughters, Tina Essary and husband, Glen, of San Antonio, Teresa Combs and husband, Brant Williams, of Lubbock, and Rhonda Thompson and Angela Hines, both of Austin; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Mattie (Dorn) Bacon, and one brother, Willie Newton Bacon Jr.
