Carl Windham Jr., 86, of Big Spring, died Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. Graveside services with military honors will be 1 p.m. Friday at Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene.

He was born May 5, 1927, to Feannie and Carl Windham in Lott, Texas. He spent most of his life in Andrews and Big Spring. He married Emily Claudeen “Deen” Furry in Andrews. She preceded him in death Dec. 4, 2005. He served in the U.S. Army, then worked as a pumper for Arco. He was a Baptist.

He is survived by one daughter, Annette Holmes and husband, Roge,r of Big Spring; one son, Joel Windham and wife, Rita, of Greenwood; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Arlene Ball of Dallas.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred Windham and Skipper Windham; and one sister, Billie Jansen.
