Carmen A. Chavarria

January 16, 2013

Carmen A. Chavarria of Austin, Texas, formerly of Big Spring, Texas, passed away in her daughter's home Jan. 10, 2013. She was born Feb. 20, 1920, and worked for the Big Spring State Hospital almost 30 years.

However, Carmen's main job was being an amazing grandmother to Suzanne Subia Sparks, Valerie A. Subia and Lisa C. Subia, who all reside and work in the Austin area. It would be impossible to list the countless ways she helped us all with our educations and careers.

Her only daughter, Anita A. Subia, took excellent care of our wonderful grandmother as her health declined over the last two years. Carmen is also survived by a very warm and beautiful extensive family in California.
We will miss our "Granny" so very much.

Carmen is also survived by several relatives throughout Texas and an extensive family in California.
