Mark your calendars, numerous events are coming up in the next two months. Upcoming events were the main focus of the Big Spring Area Chamber of Commerce board's meeting Wednesday.
This weekend, the Big Spring Symphony presents “Time Travels”, with Sarah Beckham as a guest artist at the Big Spring High School Auditorium. A world-renowned pianist will be making a special performance for Big Spring residents to enjoy. The concert will take place at the Hall Center for the Arts on the Howard College campus on Feb. 25 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available for $25 and can be purchased at the chamber, the Herald and at Churchwell Insurance.
According to Terri Johansen, president of the chamber board, the money will go to the Big Spring Community Foundation CARE fund. The CARE fund provides help for cancer patients.
If gems are what you're looking for, the Howard County Fair Barns will be the place to find them. The 42nd Annual Gem and Mineral Show will be the weekend of March 5 and 6.
