Chamber toy drive under way locally

December 5, 2013

The Big Spring Area Chamber of Commerce is currently conducting its 2nd annual Toy drive to assist five area organizations wich will distribute the donations throughout the community.

“This is something we started last year,” said Debbye ValVerde, Chamber executive director. “We had several organizations we knew needed help, especially the Salvation Army. We don’t want any child to do without.”

Those who wish to donate can bring new, unwrapped toys to the Chamber office, 215 W. Third St., between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The Chamber will accept toys for infants through 18 years of age.

For more information, contact the Chamber at 263-7641.
