Charles D. Lee

Charles D. Lee, 72, of Midland, died Monday, July 9, 2012, in a Midland hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2012, at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton, with the Rev. Frank Melgoza and the Rev. Kenneth Johnson of Goodwill Baptist Church in Midland officiating.

He was born Sept. 25, 1939, in Teague, Texas. Charles worked as a welder for Permian Welding for many years. He enjoyed grilling outdoors and helping others in their time of need. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include three sisters, Mae Jackson and husband, Thomas, and Ruth Lee all of Midland, and Carolyn Lee of Forth Worth; one brother, Vallard Lee of El Paso; and a host of nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin Lee, Sr. and Berne Lee; and one brother, Calvin Lee, Jr.; and a sister-in-law, Danice Lee.
