CHS golfers fourth in Roosevelt tourney

March 25, 2011

LORENZO — The Coahoma boys' golf team finished fourth at the Roosevelt High School Invitational at Lorenzo Country Club Wednesday.

Idalou No. 1 won the tournament with a combined score of 316. Colorado City was second, followed by Slaton and Coahoma.

Nine teams entered the tournament.

Low score for the Bulldogs was Adrian Grant with a 93, followed by Alex Hill (98), Reagan Reid and Kaleb McAdams (101) and Morgan Luce.
“The weather was great, and we played a little better than we have this season,” Coahoma Coach Kim Nichols said. “We went up against three teams in our district, and we're going to have to knock some shots off our scores, but we're getting better every week.”

The Bulldogs return to action Wednesday when they host their annual invitational tournament at Comanche Trail Golf Course.
