Cinco de Mayo celebration slated here Friday, Saturday

A large crowd is expected to descend on Big Spring for the weekend as the North Side Movement is preparing to host its first Cinco de Mayo festival at the Howard County Fair Barns.

The event will be held Friday and Saturday and is co-sponsored by Budwieser and Pepsico. Admission charge is $5 for those age 12 and older. Doors open on Friday at 5 p.m. and musical performances continue to midnight. The festivities resume Saturday at 11 a.m. and end at midnight.
