City keeping eyes out for water thieves

Theft of water service is becoming a cause of concern in Big Spring, and city officials are taking steps to put a halt to the practice.

During their Tuesday meeting, city council members passed the first reading of a new ordinance authorizing a wide range of fines for anyone who tampers with their water service within the city limits.
