Clyde Gafford, 95, of Bastrop, formerly of Big Spring died Friday, April 6, 2012, in a Bastrop nursing home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 14, 2012, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with the Rev. Mark Lindsey, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was born May 22, 1916, in Westbrook, Texas, and married Monroe Gafford May 18, 1933, in Colorado City, Texas. He preceded her in death May 23, 2005.

Mrs. Gafford was a longtime resident of Big Spring, moving to Midland in 1992 and then moving to Austin in 1997. She was currently a member of the First Baptist Church in Bastrop and was a former member of First Baptist Church in Big Spring.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Jeanie Gafford of Bastrop; one daughter and son-in-law, Gwen and Roy Carley of Houston; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
