COAHOMA — Forsan was out to get a sweep of Coahoma Tuesday night, but the Bulldogs denied that bid.
Coahoma edged Forsan 64-63 at home Tuesday for their third win in District 3-2A play.
Both teams weren’t short of scoring. For Coahoma, Sheigh Cravens had 19 points and Tanner Ruiz had 18. The Buffaloes hit 12 3-pointers in Tuesday’s game, with Patrick Robles’ four being the most. The only quarter that didn’t have both teams score in double digits was the first, when Coahoma had 16, but Forsan had nine.
The win is a big one for the Bulldogs, who have been trying to keep pace in District 3-2A. Now both teams are 3-5 in district play.

COAHOMA — Morgan Forshee’s 20 points were the catalyst for Forsan’s 45-38 win over the Coahoma Bulldogettes Tuesday.
Coahoma head coach Mitzi Bell said her team played well in the first half and let its defense take control, but the Bulldogettes couldn’t keep it going in the second half.
Forsan head coach Robert Hillger said Forshee’s big night was a one reason the Lady Buffs were able to steal a win on the road.
“I need to give a ton of credit to coach Bell at Coahoma,” he said. “She really had her kids ready to play and had a great game plan and executed it very well in the first half. We were frustrated and couldn’t throw it in the ocean in the first half. Fortunately for us, we were able to make some shots in the second half, led by Morgan Forshee.”
Forshee ended the game with five 3-pointers as Coahoma dropped to 3-7 in District 3-2A play.
