Connie Underwood

Connie Underwood, 71, of Big Spring, died Thursday Nov. 28, 2013, at his residence. Private family services will be at a later date.

He was born Oct. 14, 1942 in Hamilton, Ala. to Zora and Gracy Underwood. He grew up in Alabama. He was a Baptist and he served in the U.S. Air Force and came to Big Spring in 1961. He was stationed at Webb AFB from 1961 to 1965. After the Air Force, he stayed in Big Spring and worked for Caldwell Electric and later A&B Electric until his retirement.

Connie is survived by his wife, Paula Underwood of Big Spring; one son, Timothy Underwood of Big Spring; three daughters, Kendra Brazell of Fort Worth, Sheila Underwood of Big Spring and Mary Beth Ellis of Big Spring; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Leean Underwood of Detroit, Ala.; three sisters, Ann Kitchens of Saltillo, Miss., Gladys Binger of Toledo, Ohio and Mamie Ray of Adrian, Mich.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Lou Nell Homer.
