Council faces routine agenda Tuesday

December 12, 2011

The Big Spring City Council is expected to approve final reading of a resolution streamlining the way the Big Spring Economic Development Corporation will deliver its quarterly reports to the governing body during its meeting Tuesday evening.

Under the existing requirements, the Big Spring EDC Board of Directors are required to meet with the city council during their quarterly meetings, according to EDC Director Terry Wegman.

However, the proposed changed — which passed first reading during the council’s Nov. 8 meeting — would allow the quarterly meetings to take place with just the council and Wegman present, according to city officials.

Tuesday's meeting is expected to get under way at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, located at 307 E. Fourth Street. Fore more information call 264-2401. Also, a complete copy of the meeting agenda can be found online at www.mybigspring.com
