County to consider routine items

November 6, 2010

County Judge Mark Barr

An executive session to consider personnel matters tops the agenda for Howard County commissioners, as the court prepares to meet Monday morning.
According to the meeting agenda, the personnel matter was placed on the agenda by County Judge Mark Barr, who declined to comment on the nature of the session at this time.
“I really can't discuss the details beyond what's on the agenda,” Barr said. “However, I imagine there will be some action taken on the matter once we come out of executive session, so we'll just have to wait and see.”
The remaining items on the agenda are mostly routine matters, as County Auditor Jackie Olson will present the commissioners with invoices and purchase requests, as well as present a monthly financial report. Olson is also slated to discuss budget amendments with the court.
County Treasurer Teresa Thomas will also meet with commissioners, giving the court reports on personnel considerations and payroll.
County Clerk Donna Wright is expected to present her department's monthly report, as well, while County Road and Bridge Administrator Eddy Jameson will report on pipeline crossings and road maintenance in Howard County.
The meeting will get under way at 10 a.m. Monday in the commissioners courtroom, located on the third floor of the county courthouse. For more information, contact the county judge's office at 264-2202.
