Curtis Brunson, 53, of Lubbock, Texas, died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011, at his residence. A come-and-go memorial will be held from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, at the Brunson home at 3606 Hamilton in Big Spring.
Curtis was born Aug. 8, 1958, in Big Spring and graduated from Big Spring High School. He attended Howard College School of Nursing and later earned his registered nursing degree. He was working as a trauma nurse in Lubbock. He was a Christian.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Brunson of Lubbock, Texas; stepson, Mark Thornton of Lindale; stepdaughter, Sonya Nichols of Abilene; parents, Belton and Nona Brunson of Big Spring; two brothers, Daryl Brunson and Karl Brunson; two sisters, Karen Hays and Carol Curry; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one infant sister, Denise; one infant nephew; and one niece.
