David 'Davi' Rios

David “Davi” Rios, 73, of Big Spring died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012. Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at Myers & Smith Funeral Home with Billy Guy, pastor of Full Gospel Fellowship, officiating.

He was born June 15, 1939 in Breckenridge, Mich., to Jessie and Domingo Rios Sr. He had been a resident of the community since 1970. He owned service stations at Midkiff and Garden City but also worked in the oil field most of his life. In later years, he was a caregiver for his parents.

He is survived by one son, Tony Rios of Midland; two daughters, Michelle Rios and Mary Hernandez and husband Luis, all of Midland: the mother of his children, Virginia Gonzales of Midland; three sisters, Rosita Ponce and Melana Rios, both of San Antonio, and Anita Rios Gonzalez and husband Fred of Big Spring; three brothers, Richard Rios and wife Pat of Augusta, Ga., Carlos Rios and wife Molly of Brady and Domingo Rios Jr. and wife Socorro of Big Spring; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Domingo Rios Sr. and one brother, Adolph Rios.
