David Ybarra Sr.

David Ybarra Sr., 46, of Big Spring died Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at his residence. Vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Stanton.

He was born Aug. 19, 1966, in Fresno, Calif., to Mary and Jesse Ybarra. He worked in the oil field and was a two year member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a lifetime resident of Big Spring.

He is survived by his wife, Carmelita Ybarra of Big Spring; five sons, David Ybarra Jr., Michael Ybarra, Jordan Ontiveros and Jarred Ybarra, all of Big Spring, and John Ontiveros of San Antonio; mother, Mary Helen Rodriguez of Big Spring; three brothers, Jesse Ybarra of Midland, Richard Ybarra of Mencato, Minn., and Johnny Ybarra of Concord, Calif.; one sister, Lisa Ybarra of Big Spring; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, David Anthony Ontiveros in 1990.
