Delores Scott, 74, of Big Spring died Sunday, April 21, 2013, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. Vigil services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Fort Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso.

She was born Nov. 18, 1938, in Traverse County, Mich., to Julia and Simon Lamie. She married Frederick Scott on July 23, 1958. They moved from Travis City, Mich., 45 years ago to Big Spring. He preceded her in death Aug. 21, 1986.

She was very active in auxiliaries for V.F.W., D.A.V. and American Legion. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Her hobbies were TV — Walker Texas Ranger and CSI — her family, cooking and she also loved lavender and lilies.

She is survived by three daughters, Joyce Marie Scott, Verna Dooley and husband Bruce and Judy Scott, all of Big Spring; grandchildren, Michael Jewett, Micheal Daves, Jeremy Jewett and Stephanie Frisby; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Daves, Corban Daves, Chandler Daves, Maximus Daves, Chelsea Jewett, Aiden Jewett, Ariona Hall, Joseph Fonda, Joe Lewis, Mina Lewis and William Merrick V; sisters, Ruthie Waldron of Mich., Alice Haggard of Illinois and Virginia Éclair of Tennessee.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, and one granddaughter.
