Dianne Standefer Cash, 59, of Ashdown, Ark., died Wednesday, April 11, 2012.

Ms. Cash was born Sept. 13, 1952, in Stanton, Texas.

Survivors include one daughter, Virginia Walker; a son-in-law, Damon Walker; and a step-granddaughter, Winter Walker of Maud, Texas; her stepfather, Jack Strain of Colorado City, Texas; one brother, Terry Standefer and wife Diane of Cedar Park; one sister, Kathy Benson of Granbury, Texas; a half-brother, Bill Standefer and wife of Phoenix, Ariz.; and a number of other relatives.

She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Edgar and Oradell Standefer; maternal grandparents, Eual and Bea Henderson; father Morris Standefer; mother Virginia Strain; brother Glenn Standefer; and daughter,Sherry La Nell Standefer.

Dianne was raised in Colorado City and graduated high school in 1970. She then moved to Big Spring, where she lived for many years. She worked for Rip Griffin Truck Stop, managed The Pump club and also the Brass Nail. She leaves many friends and family with sadness in their heart but who know she is no longer in pain.

There will be a memorial service at The First Baptist Church in Colorado City, Texas, at 2 p.m. April 28, 2012. Family will be at the home of her stepfather, Jack Strain, at 983 E 17th St. There will be time for visiting at the church after the service.
