Dolores Valdespino Chavez

Dolores Valdespino Chavez, 94, of Big Spring died Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Co-Pastor Antonio Ibarra, of the Kingdom Hall for Jehovah's Witnesses, officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Olive Memorial Park.

The family will begin receiving friends at 1 p.m, Thursday until the time of service.

Dolores was born Nov. 22, 1917, in Chihuahua, Mexico, and married Ruperto Saiz Chavez, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and a member of the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah's Witnesses.

Survivors include one son, Andres V. Chavez and wife Monica of Big Spring; three daughters, Ema Sanchez and husband Ambrosio Jr. of San Antonio, Beatrice Franco of Big Spring and Celia Larez and husband Reyes of Pine Bluff, Wyo.; two sisters-in-law; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Pabla (Bautista) Valdespino; two daughters, Ermina Aleman and Gloria Rodriguez; and one son-in-law, Ramon Franco.
