Dolores Wickline, 84, of Big Spring died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, in a Lubbock hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2013, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Ken McIntosh officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

The family received friends Thursday, May 23, 2013, at the funeral home.

Dolores was born Dec. 30, 1928, in DeLeon, Texas, and married Phillip Wickline on Sept. 3, 1949, in DeLeon. He preceded her in death Aug. 7, 1975.

Dolores came to Big Spring in 1960 and taught typing at Big Spring High School for 29 years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and was an avid sports fan. She was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include one son, Jeff Wickline and wife Janet of San Marcos; two daughters, Sherry Valencia and husband David of Odessa and Teresa Green and husband Steve of Levelland; six grandchildren, Justin Myers and wife Sara, Blake Myers and wife Cayle, Stacy Ebmeier and husband Steve, Michael Valencia, Kara Wickline and Stephanie Wickline; and seven great-grandchildren.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, Jefferson Davis and Jimbelle (Watkins) Tate; and one brother.

The family suggests memorials be made to Accolade Hospice, 5201 Indiana Ave. No. 200, Lubbock, Texas 79413; or to the charity of one's choice.
