Domingo H. Rios, 87, of Big Spring died at his residence Thursday Sept. 5, 2013. Vigil services will be 7 p.m. Sunday Sept. 8, 2013, at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Msgr. Bernard Gully officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Olive Memorial Park.
He was born March 7, 1926, to Policarpia and Francisco Rios in Runge, Texas. He married Apolonia Bryan Feb. 19, 1954, who preceded him in death July 19, 2008. He came to Big Spring in 1980. He worked for West Texas Industries Cotton Compress. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Rosa Villa and husband Jose of Stanton and Angie Bravo and husband Juan of Big Spring; one sister, Margarita Acevedo and husband Lino of Brownfield; six grandchildren, Roger Bravo and wife Courtney of Midland, Tonya Harris and husband Gerald of Midland, Cynthia Lerma of Stanton, Steven Lerma and wife Ronnie of Stanton, Diane Villa of Stanton and Joey Villa and wife Elizabeth of Stanton; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.
