Donald Eugene (Don) Smith, age 81 of Seguin formerly of Big Spring, passed away Jan. 30, 2012. Visitation will begin Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, at 10 a.m., followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Robert K. Odom officiating. Interment will follow at San Geronimo Cemetery.
Don was born May 13, 1930, in Big Spring,Texas, to John Henry and Clara Elma Page Smith. His wife Geri Smith and his parents preceded him in death.
Survivors include his sons, Don Smith and wife Sandy, and Edward Smith and wife Linda; daughter, Susan Flickinger and husband Terry; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; family by marriage, daughter, Sherry Lessner and husband Ron; sons, Dave Odom and wife Jill and Bob Odom and wife Cindy; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
