Graveside services for Dorothy (Mrs. Berton) Barnett, 89, of Colorado City were set for noon Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, in the Colorado City Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Foster officiating. Services were under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

Mrs. Barnett died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012 in a local nursing home.
Mrs. Barnett was born Sept. 27, 1923, in Houma, La., the daughter of Thomas and Cedie Hatch. She married Berton Barnett Aug. 23, 1944, in Pasadena, Calif.

She was a lifelong homemaker, devoting her life to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Berton, and son, Barney Barnett.

Survivors include a daughter, Bonnie Fowler and husband Woodie; son, Lynn Barnett and wife Connie; daughter-in-law, Kay Barnett; sister, Belle Parham and husband Gene; brothers and sisters; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Special appreciation is extended to granddaughter Lori Barnett and nephew Sammy Parham for their support.

Visitation was held Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, from 10 a.m. until time of service.
