Dorothy Napper

Dorothy Napper of Lubbock passed away Sunday, May 6, 2012, at home at the age of 92.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 9, 2012, at Redbud Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Shon Wagner officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2012, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home.

She was born Dec. 24, 1919, at Richland Springs, Texas. Her family moved to a farm near O’Donnell, Texas, and she graduated from high school. She married W.J. Napper.

Dot lived in a number of locations and worked in the public for many years in Big Spring, Texas. Her final home was made in Lubbock in 1994.

She is survived by her two children, Patsy Soucy of Lubbock and James Napper and wife Sylvia of Richland, Miss., one stepson, Jan Napper; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and two sisters.
