Dr. Sparks’ contract extended

January 28, 2014

Extension of the college president’s contract and updates on existing projects were on tap at the Howard County Junior College District’s Board of Trustees meeting Monday.

Trustees began the meeting early by entering into executive session to evaluate the performance of college president Dr. Cheryl Sparks, who has served in the role for the past 22 years. She received another positive nod from trustees, who voted to extend her contract two years.
