DRA getting ready for Christmas on Main Street

October 5, 2013

When you think Christmas parade, don't forget Christmas on Main Street, a family focused event designed to enhance the season's festivities.
Christmas on Main Street is put on by the Downtown Revitalization Association and takes place — on Main Street, obviously — immediately following the Big Spring Herald Lighted Christmas Parade, set for the evening of Saturday, Dec. 7.
“Children will have an opportunity to visit with Santa, get their photo taken and get a free gift,” said Debbie Rupard, DRA secretary.
Gifts include stuffed animals and coloring books. The visit with Santa and gifts are free. There is a nominal fee for photos with St. Nick.
“We'll have food, train rides for children and other activities,” Rupard said.
Any potential vendors or others interested in learning more about Christmas on Main Street or the DRA should contact Christy Brorman, association president, at 432-466-2268.
