AMARILLO — Dudley McKaskle, 83, died June 28, 2013. Graveside services were held Monday, July 1, 2013, in Memorial Park Cemetery with Lance Herrington officiation.. Cox Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Mr. McKaskle was born Oct, 23, 1929, in Monroe, La., to Moncue and Vergie McKaskle. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married Pat Everett on Nov. 19, 1954, in Big Spring. He farmed in Martin County until 1968. After working for defense contractors in the Fort Worth area, he moved to Amarillo in 1970. He retired from Pantex in 1994.

Mr. McKaskle enjoyed gardening and restoring antique cars. Most of all, he enjoyed being “GrandPa” to his family. He was a member of Paramount Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Pat of Amarillo, a daughter, Lana Jo McKaskle Berkowitz and husband David of Baytown; two sons, Michael Scott McKaskle of Lubbock and William “Bill” Dudley McKaskle and wife Kathy of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Chad Lee Goodrum currently in Afghanistan, Katelyn Claire McKaskle Wheaton, Amanda Blair McKaskle, Benjamin Everett Berkowitz and Daniel AAaron Berkowitz; and a great-granddaughter, Addison Claire Wheaton. He is also survived by one sister, Venita Davis of Lubbock; and three brothers, Charles McKaskle of Lubbock, Billy McKaskle of Del Rio and John Henry McKaskle of Comstock.
