Dylan Headrick, 17, of Big Spring, died Sunday, May 18, 2014 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2014, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Johnny Cockerham officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

He was born March 2, 1997, in Big Spring and was a lifelong resident. He attended Big Spring schools and was working for Hi Tech as a casing inspector. Dylan enjoyed fishing, he was full of life and made everyone laugh. His greatest joy was being a father to his daughter, Khloe Kaye.

Survivors include his father, James Dewayne Headrick and wife, Tammy Kay; his mother, Jamie Rae Nelson; his wife, Alexis Bland; a daughter, Khloe Kaye Marie Headrick; two brothers, Tyler Smith and Austin Headrick; a sister, Shelbi Nelson; his paternal grandmother, Dolly “Nanny” Woodard; his maternal grandparents, Kaye Beck and James Feemster; an uncle, J. W. “Bubba” Feemster and wife, Shannon; his aunts, Kym Feemster and Carrie O’Brien; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, J. C. Woodward; and an uncle, James "Jimmy" Feemster.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Smith, Nathan Feemster, Noel Hamilton, Gary Elliot, John Armstrong and Spencer Coker, Jr. All friends are considered honorary pallbearers.
