Eagles BBQ Fest to benefit Scottish Rite Hospital

June 6, 2013

Good food and a good cause will intersect Saturday when the Big Spring Eagles Lodge holds its second annual BBQ Fest.

Lodge members will serve barbecue meals with all the fixings beginning at noon Saturday to benefit the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Crippled Children in Lubbock.

Last year's inaugural event raised $5,000 for the hospital.

Plates will be sold for $10 each, and will include barbecue, potato salad, cole slaw, beans, bread and a drink. All proceeds from the event will go to Scottish Rite and any additional donations will be gratefully accepted, Moran said.

In addition to the food, the club will have live music and prize drawings.

For more information, contact Moran at 928-345-8014 or Gary Gillihan at 432-770-1302.
