Edith “Tink” Harrell

Edith “Tink” Harrell, 90, of Lubbock, Texas, formerly of Big Spring, Texas, died Saturday Nov, 16, 2013, at Crown Point Health Suites in Lubbock. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Myers & Smith Chapel with Matt Wolfington of Saint Luke’s United Methodist Church of Lubbock officiating. Burial will be at Mount Olive Memorial Park.

She was born Dec. 10, 1922, in Scurry County to Ruby and George Collier. She was a lifetime resident of Big Spring and very active member of East Fourth Baptist Church. She married Willie Fay Harrell on July 4th 1942, in Big Spring and they were married over 68 years before his death in December 2010.

She is survived by daughter, Ann Krusemark and husband Richard of Bentonville, Arkansas; son, Rich Harrell and wife Jane of San Antonio; daughter, Kathy Smith and husband Mike of Lubbock; sister, Juanita “Pete” Smith of Big Spring; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, one brother Babe Collier and one sister Gladys Clinton.

The Family suggests memorials be made to the Book Fund at East Fourth Baptist Church.
