Edna Faye Smith

Edna Faye Smith, 97, of Big Spring died Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at her residence. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Lindsey, pastor, officiating.

She was born Oct. 23, 1914, in Lampasas, Texas, to Lemuel and Hanorah Rutledge. She married Jack Y. Smith on Oct. 14, 1932, in Walters, Okla. He preceded her in death Dec. 1, 1986.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Big Spring.

Survivors include one son, Steve Smith of Big Spring; one daughter, Jacqueline McKnight and husband Louis of Amarillo; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Ruth Ruthfesmire.
