Edna "Tincy" Perry, 91, of Big Spring, died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, in a local nursing home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, at the City of Levelland Cemetery, Levelland, Texas.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, at the funeral home.
She was born April 14, 1922, in Bug Tussle, Texas, and married Frank C. Perry June 23, 1946, in Plainview, Texas. He preceded her in death Dec. 22, 1994, after 48 years of marriage.
Edna was the youngest of six children and was raised near Ropes, where she attended school. She was a devoted mom and housewife and had been a resident of Big Spring since 1952. She loved to entertain family and friends and always loved a good laugh.
She attended McMurry College in Abilene and was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha, serving as president. She was also a member of the auxillary of the American Legion, First United Methodist Church and RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program).
Survivors include one daughter, Henri Ann Holt and husband, Charles of Seattle, Wash.; one son, Lance Perry and wife, Sharon of Wellington, Colo.; six grandchildren, Jack Wisener of Joplin, Mo., Kelly Miles, Haley Miles and Wyatt Perry all of Fort Collins, Colo., Todd Holt of Seattle, Wash. and Magnolia Perry of Chestertown, Md.; two great-grandchildren, Tyffanie Wisener and Jacob Wisener both of Joplin, Mo.; many loving nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Howard, Tom and Mike; and two sisters, Ruth and Dee.
The family suggests memorials be made to the donor's favorite charity.
