Elgen Suazo, 20, of Forsan died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Calvary Callender officiating.

A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel.

He was born Oct. 10, 1992, in Malaybalay City, Philippines. Elgen moved with his family to Forsan in 2002. He graduated from Forsan High School in 2012 and was a state qualifier in both track and cross country his junior and senior years. He loved to run and wanted to be a track coach. Elgen also loved hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He worked for Hibbett Sports in Big Spring.

Survivors include his mother, Adrienne Bides of Forsan; father, Bernie Suazo of New York; brother, Franklin John Suazo of Forsan; two sisters, Rowena Anne Suazo of Forsan and Paz Christe Ramos of New York; grandparents, Rogelio and Paz Bides of New York; and several aunts and uncles.
