Eligio 'Lee' Viasana

Eligio "Lee" Viasana, 59, of Big Spring died Friday, Sept. 30, 2011, at his residence. Vigil services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park.

Lee was born April 4, 1952, in Iraan, Texas. He came to Big Spring as a young man and worked in the oil fields. He later began working for the Big Spring Independent School District.

Survivors include two sons, Chris Viasana of Big Spring and Erick Viasana of Goodyear, Ariz.; two daughters, Dorothy Woodard and Lisa Viasana, both of Big Spring; four brothers, Juan "Johnny" Viasana of Nacogdoches, Wallace "Terry" Viasana, Carmen Viasana Jr. and David Viasana, all of Big Spring; four sisters, Linda Viasana and Maria Chairez, both of Lake Jackson, and Anna Zamora and Mary Ochoa, both of Big Spring; fourteen grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carmen Sr. and Rosa (Deanda) Viasana.
