Elmer Lindsey, 77, of Coahoma, went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday Jan. 5, 2014, at Midland Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church of Big Spring.
Elmer was born to Montie and Frank Lindsey March 28, 1936, in Tahoka, Texas. He was longtime member of the Coahoma and Tahoka Lions Clubs. He was a member of First Christian Church and a former member of First Presbyterian Church for more than 35 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Paulette Lindsey of Coahoma; two sons: Frankie Lindsey and wife Suzanne and Marty Lindsey and wife Julie; one daughter: Sharlette Webb and husband Terry; one brother: Sam Lindsey; two sisters: Margie Terry and Viola Bertreaux; grandchildren: Patrick and wife Brandy, Colton, Ashley, Zachary and wife Megan, Christa and husband Kevin, Kayla and husband Trevor, Meghan, Abi, Ben, Zoie, Erick and wife Shana; great-grandchildren: Parker, Weston, Briggs, Rowann, Quincy Jo, Tyler, Hayden and Brayden; and numerous nieces and nephews.
