Elmira Forman, 88, of Big Spring, died Friday Jan. 31, 2014 in Plano, Texas. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at West Highway 80 Church of Christ with burial following at Mount Olive Memorial Park.
She was born Oct. 14, 1925, to Armanda and Arthur Lane in Rice, Texas. She lived in Big Spring for 64 years moving from Crane, Texas. She married Willie Forman, Jr. July 11, 1943 in Maysfield, Texas and was an active member of West Highway 80 Church of Christ. She taught school at Airport Elementary, Bauer Elementary and Lakeview Headstart schools.
She is survived by her children, Willie E. Forman and wife Marva of Big Spring,Connie Scott of Allen, Texas, Billy Jones and wife Yodit of Abilene, Texas, Mary Taylor of Rockwall, Texas, Donny R. Forman and wife Wanda of Anna, Texas, Clarence Forman of Big Spring, Cathy McDuffie and husband Ronnie of The Colony, Texas, Ronnie R. Forman and wife Tina of Big Spring and Carolyn Wallace and husband Michael of Wylie, Texas; one brother, Jack Lane and wife Sammie of Crane, Texas; one sister, Johnnie May Jones also of Crane, Texas; 28 grandchildren; 62 great grandchildren and 20 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Willie Forman, Jr. and one brother: A.J. Lane.
