Elrod's closing temporarily to repair storm damage

While the downpour of rain received by the Crossroads area March 18 helped with the ongoing drought, at least one Big Spring business came up short during the storm.

Officials with Elrod's Furniture announced this week the local business would be closing its doors — temporarily — to make repairs caused by the storm, which caused extensive damage through the retail business.

“We're not sure how long it will take to make the necessary repairs, so it's unclear right now how long our showroom will be closed,” Steve Campbell, sales manager for Elrod's Furniture, said Friday. “We'll open back up just as soon as it's safe to have customers in the store.”
