Emma C. Thwing

Emma C. Thwing, 77, died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011, at Lincoln Hills Healthcare Center in New Albany, Ind.

She was born Jan. 10, 1934, in Big Spring, Texas, to John and Frankie Tucker. Emma was a member of Silver Street United Methodist Church in New Albany and Epsilon Sigma Alpha International.

Survivors include her husband, David A. Thwing; children, Richard A. Thwing of Georgetown, Ind., Ricky W. Thwing of Athens, Maine, Cindy Thwing of Norridgewock, Maine, and Reba Williams and Robyn Flowers, both of Wichita Falls, Texas; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, at Silver Street United Methodist Church. Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Ind., is in charge of arrangements.
