Erineo 'Eddie' Gomez

Erineo “Eddie” Gomez, 84, of Big Spring, formerly of Ackerly, died Sunday, March 11, 2012, at Texas Specialty Hospital in Lubbock. Prayer services will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at Le Fe Baptist Church with the Rev. Axel Chavez officiating. Burial will be in Ackerly Cemetery.

He was born June 28, 1927, in Thorndale, Texas, to Miguela and Antonio Gomez. He worked for numerous farmers in Ackerly for most of his life. He moved to Big Spring after his retirement. He was a Baptist.

He is survived by one sister, Ydelia Gomez Barron of Kennewick, Wash.; and a brother, Guadalupe Gomez of Big Spring; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Secundina Riojas Gomez; and three brothers, Fred Gomez, Antonio Gomez Jr. and Pablo Gomez.
