Ermine Barrick

Ermine Barrick, 78, of Fort Worth died Wednesday, June 6, 2012, in a Dallas hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 10, 2012, at the Evergreen Cemetery chapel with Shawn Gary officiating.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2012, at the funeral home.

She was born Sept. 6, 1933, in Stanton, Texas, and married Ed Barrick on Feb. 12, 1994, in Palacios, Texas.

Ermine graduated from Stanton High School and received her master's in education degree from North Texas State University. She taught elementary school for more than 30 years.

Survivors include her husband, Ed Barrick of Forth Worth; one son, Travis Crow and wife Cindy of Wolfforth; one daughter, Vietia Romine and husband Larry of Big Spring; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two step-sons, Anthony Barrick and wife Barbara and Timothy Barrick and wife Patty; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, T.W. and Margaret Haynie; two brothers, S.E. Haynie and Travis L. Haynie: and a niece.

The family suggests memorials be made to Martin County Senior Center, P.O. Box 1233, Stanton, Texas 79782; or to Lamun-Lusk-Sanchez Texas State Veterans Home, 1809 N. Hwy. 87, Big Spring, Texas 79720.
